What inspired you to begin your company? How did you start?
I've always had skincare issues, I have had eczema since I was a baby. When I was young, I always wanted to be a dermatologist but then went the more artist way in my early 20s. In my 20s I become tired of the never ending mdication cycle I was in and thought that there must be a natural way to heal my eczema. This lead me down the path I'm on. I studied holistic health, aromatherapy and now medical herbalism. I have always had a feeling that there was another way to heal my skin (besides using cortisone cream). I am still hungry for more knowledge and its the driving force behind PA.
Tell us something you wish everyone knew about beauty products?
You can use lots of nutrious food from your kitchen as beneficial skincare like: oats, olive oil, sunflower oil, all berries, cocoa, yogurt and honey
Why do you become involved with Causemetics?
Province Apothecary is honored to be a part of the Causemetics campaign and offer support for a cause that has touched us in so many ways. I created my first moisturizer for a client who was undergoing chemotherapy and the needs of sensitive skin has always been a part of my formulations. It is important for everyone, especially those who's bodies are already under a lot of stress, to treat your body well. Skin is the largest organ of the body, and absorbs everything we put on it. Just as eating well leads to good health, so does natural skincare; nourishes our body. Turn your daily skincare routine into a practice in wellness and feel good about what goes on your skin.
How did you choose which of your products to rebrand as a Causemetics product?
I love oil cleansing and it works for every skin type so that is why I chose the Moisturizing Cleanser + Makeup Remover. I also know that when you are going through chemotherapy your skin becomes very dry, and an oil cleanser will help hydrate the skin as it cleanses.
What is something exciting you are working on?
We are launching several products in the next few months that I can not wait to share. Sign up for our newsletter at www.provinceapothecary.com or follow us on instagram: provinceapothecary and stay tuned for our Radiant body oil, Sea Salt Soap and our Limited Edition Orange + Bay Holiday Incense.
